Check out this staggering resource from the Leather Archives and Museum!

I had the great fortune to meet many of these men in San Francisco this weekend. What a great group of contestants!
Loren video-taped interviews with all of them. This is a great resource for anyone who is thinking about running for a title. It gives you so many ideas about questions that might be asked and examples of how a wide variety of men answered them.
Kink Academy has put up a page of free video interviews with past IMsL winners.

A man named Tom Wray saw my recent article on Leatherati about Community Burnout and reached out to me. He just recently came back to the community after taking a two year break. He is working on re-launching a Chicago based Leather community blog called Chicago Den.
As an aside, one of the best outcomes of the Burnout articles has been the stories people have shared with me about their struggles with the community and how they have overcome them.
Please take a moment to check out his blog. In his own words, “the Den is done more as a community newspaper with local events announcements, event coverage and some columns when I can. I’m hoping to expand the coverage to Indiana and Wisconsin, maybe Ohio, Michigan and Iowa if there’s interest in it.”
Welcome back, Tom!
With thanks to Jessie Vanciel, check out this web site from the UK: Hard Cell
Jessie explained its value, “it has all sorts of info like what to do if the police show up at your door. It also talks about drugs what their affects are on play. Plus hanky codes, bareback information, and hiv stuff. I would love to see a US version.”
So if any of you ambitious Leatherfolk are looking for a project– this would be a good one!
I was lucky to receive a print copy of this book as a gift– it has a staggering amount of valuable information in it for anyone who is interested in starting to make their own gear.
Here’s a note from Daddy Wendell and a link to where you can download it for Kindle. Continue reading »
