From the Producers of International Ms. Leather Weekend:

Due to a change in management at the Holiday Inn Golden Gateway, IMsL will be moving to a new hotel beginning in 2013. We are committed to providing sex positive educational and social programming and to that end we are currently seeking a new venue to meet our needs. This will most likely result in a change from our previously announced dates. We regret any inconvenience this causes our attendees. We will let you know as soon as we have a new venue.

Per the Press Release issued by the Leather Leadership Conference on July 31st, the current LLC board has decided to cancel the Seattle conference. The Seattle Local Organizing Committee has received a lot of encouragement to proceed with a conference of some kind.

The Seattle Committee has decided it is willing to do this and is currently running a survey to gauge the level of support and determine what the community is seeking from such a conference. The Survey can be accessed at [http://www.surveymonkey.com/s/seattleleadership]. Please provide your perspective on what you would include if you were creating a new leadership and community building conference.

The team will be meeting Thursday August 16th and will use the survey results to determine our go forward plans. All input is appreciated, both pro and con. The survey will continue beyond the 16th if is decided to proceed with a conference and will help shape the event.

Bonsoir Chicago.

If you don’t recognize me, I ‘m the guy on the official Picture of last year just close to Jim DEUDER, Douglas D PAMPLIN and Anthony ROLLAR.

What a long and lovely march for me to reflect on with you this evening here in Chicago where one year ago I had the great honor to be elected and designated as your representative for a year.

Never, even in my wildest dreams , did I ever imagine that I would win the Title – but see there , everything is possible.
I have always admired the IML’s – David Kloss, Guy Baldwin or John Pendal – just to name a few, and I have often listened to Jack Duke, but really all the IML-Title-Holders (Hugs to Jeffrey Payne and Tyler Mc Cormick) have , without knowing it, influenced my life.
I myself would never aspire to go down in the anals of the history of IML. My simple wish is that I hope that I have been able to make some sort of positive contribution. Continue reading »

DANIEL:
Good afternoon, and thank you all for joining us today for our Northwest M/s step-down speech.

First of all, thank you.
It’s been our honor and privilege to represent all of you and the Northwest Region this year, and
we’re grateful for the wonderful experience and the opportunity to both grow and share what we know
with others.  We have some interesting stories to share with you about our title year.
When we initially had the idea to run for this title a few years ago, we saw an opportunity to do
some needed outreach and education in our own heterosexual community, which doesn’t have the same
rich leather history, or the club support systems which help mentor in the men’s and women’s
communities. Aside from the good work of the Society of Janus, the heterosexual community just doesn’t
have those longstanding cultural leather dynamics, and sometimes it shows.

A note from Pink: I’ve had a few people write in and ask if i would post my M/s speech. I’d just like to preface this by saying it was meant to be spoken, not read, so some of the grammar is obviously incorrect.

“Good evening.
I am opinionated, outgoing, sarcastic, feisty, flawed.
I am also my Master’s slave. Some people would like to say that these things are mutually exclusive. I’m here to show you that they’re not.

I was shocked at how many submissives came up to me this past year to say thank you for running. It seems obvious to me that a strong, capable slave would be the most wanted, the most desired, but sadly that’s not always the case.

I attended a woman’s party solo this past year. During the event, a Dominant approached me. “I’m surprised” they said. – “I never really never saw you as the slave type.” “Really?” I replied (silently reminding myself that this is a teaching title) “why is that?” “Well, you just do so many different things in the community, and are so outgoing, that I just didn’t see you that way.”

They just didn’t see me that way.
Even as a self aware and happily identified slave, this still managed to take me aback. Continue reading »

Sister Roma brought the house down with this hilarious poem for Lenny Broberg at his recent Roast/Tribute event in San Francisco.

With her permission, here it is for everyone to enjoy!

Make sure to imagine a super hot drag nun reading it! Here’s a photo to help!

My Night with Lenny

Alternately Titled: I Thought The Cop Was A Top But It Was Too Late To Stop

It was a cool rainy night in the City By The Bay,

The air smelled of buttsex with a hint of Tanqueray,

I had just left the Power House, my knees stained and dirty,

That night i had blown a dozen men – and by dozen I mean thirty

I had the great fortune to meet many of these men in San Francisco this weekend. What a great group of contestants!

Loren video-taped interviews with all of them. This is a great resource for anyone who is thinking about running for a title. It gives you so many ideas about questions that might be asked and examples of how a wide variety of men answered them.

I had the great honor of introducing Darren Bondy Mr SF Leather 2011 at the 2012 Mr SF Leather contest for his step-down. I would like as many people as possible to know what a great job he did during his title year, so here is my introduction.

***

Over the past year it has been my distinct pleasure to work closely with Darren Bondy — Mr San Francisco Leather 2011.

Darren Bondy is everything a title holder should be.

He coordinated 12 successful Black Saturday events at his home bar, the Powerhouse– which raised over $12,000 for the Leather Alliance, the Bare Chest Calendar, CARAS, the Tom of Finland Foundation, and the Leather Archives and Museum. He judged four contests. He sponsored Balls to the Walls (a Leather softball game) and the Anniversary of Leathermen’s Discussion Group. All of this, and he had an wonderfully successful run for International Mr. Leather– finishing 8th out of more than 50 men who competed for the title. Continue reading »
